Cairn Building
Laid out, word by word I build my art, I round off the edges like stone, defying its form with brittle-smooth curve. Layer on layer, idly at first then driven, clear and apposite into place. The cairn takes shape and under buried I leave an ache behind. Amputated.
Not to trouble me again with phantom pains.
