Dandelion Wine
There are mugs at home, sat on a shelf, little plates too, with bird egg and nest designs, never used. You lament them and always I say, when I’m more settled. When I’m more settled. I’ll bring them out here and they’ll have pride of place.
The park is full of brambles, I want to go out and pick them, like we used to, make jams, wines crumbles. Theres nothing stopping me, its just, there’s so much on. One day it’ll quieten down a little. Once I’ve gotten through all this.
One day I will bring out the patterns and thread. Reteach myself to sew. Borrow a machine and allow myself to take time to make things. This planning is new to me, and I wonder what time will I do this all in?
And it hits me, I don’t think I have time. Maybe I don’t. Maybe just its more of this from here on out.
